Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, while giving a speech at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) on Friday (26 September), claimed that the Pakistani Air Force killed 7 Indian fighter jets in a military conflict with India this year and made them ‘junk’.
Shahbaz Sharif praised his pilots
Shahbaz Sharif, praising his pilots, called him a ‘hawk’ and said that our Falcons flew and dropped 7 Indian aircraft. However, Pakistan has been claiming to drop 5 aircraft of the Indian Air Force earlier, but India has always described these things as baseless and devoid of evidence.
Sharif accused India
Sharif alleged that in May 2025, India attacked Pakistan under ‘Operation Sindoor’. This operation was started on May 7 in response to the Pahalgam terror attack (in which 26 innocent people were killed). Sharif said that India used to take political advantage of the incident.
In the retaliation taken by India, air strikes and missile attacks were carried out at 9 locations in Pakistan and PoK (Pakistan Occupied Kashmir). India ensured that the target is just a terrorist structure, there should not be an attack on citizens and army. Later, there was a ceasefire between the two countries, when Pakistan’s DGMO contacted the Indian DGMO.
Sharif praises Trump
Earlier, Sharif and Pakistani Army Chief Asim Munir met US President Donald Trump at the White House. This was a Pakistani Prime Minister’s first American visit in the last six years. Sharif praised Trump as a ‘man of peace “and said that his efforts made a ceasefire possible in India and Pakistan.
