Indus Water Treaty and Border Terrorism
India postponed the Indus Water Agreement after the terrorist attack on April 22 in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. India says that Indus water and blood cannot flow together. In this terrorist attack, 26 innocent people were killed by asking religion.
Kirti Vardhan Singh said that after the signing of the treaty, the threat of technical, demographic and climate change as well as cross-border terrorism has changed the circumstances. He said, ‘Pakistan’s terrorist activities have obstructed India’s ability to take advantage of the treaty. Pakistan should stop putting blame on India. He said that the Indus Water Treaty was made up of goodwill and friendship and its respect is necessary. He clarified that the side of the treaty is Pakistan itself, which is increasing the disputes.
