Jaffar express train: The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) militants in Balochistan province of Pakistan have hijacked the Jafar Express train. More than 100 passengers were taken hostage in this attack, including Pakistani Army, ISI, police and anti-terrorism force (ATF) personnel.
The attackers also shot the train driver, causing him to be seriously injured. According to Pakistani media reports, this train passing through South-Western Balochistan was fired heavy, in which many people were injured.
Train was going from Balochistan to Peshawar
According to the report of Don News, the train was going from Quetta in Balochistan to Peshawar in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, when she was attacked. Pakistan Railway recently resumed the operation of trains on this route after one and a half months suspension.

BLA militants have taken over 100 passengers hostage, including army and ISI employees. According to BLA’s statement, “The hostages include the active-duty staff of the Pakistani Army, Police, Anti-Terrorism Force (ATF) and Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), who were going to Punjab on leave. If the Pakistani army takes any military action, all the hostages will be killed.” In addition, women, children and Baloch passengers were released by the terrorists, making it clear that the hostage people are mainly personnel of Pakistani security forces.
Baloch Liberation Army took responsibility for the attack
The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), which is a separatist terrorist organization, has taken responsibility for this attack. This organization demands independence of Balochistan. BLA has already targeted the projects of Pakistani Army, Government and China. This attack is considered to be another example of BLA’s struggle against the Pakistani army.
Pakistani government and army reaction
The Government of Balochistan has implemented emergency measures and the army has been asked to formulate a strategy for the release of hostages. Government spokesperson Shahid Rind said, “All security agencies have been alerted to deal with the situation. The operation will be started soon to resolve the crisis.” Along with this, Emergency has been declared in Quetta’s civil hospital and all medical staff have been kept on high alert.
