Pakistan Train Hijack Hostage Crisis Military Rescue Operation Balochistan Pakistan Army

Balochistan Attack: The Pakistan Army on Friday (March 14) informed that 26 hostages were killed by militants of the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) who ambushed a train in Balochistan. These included 18 army and paramilitary personnel. Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhary, Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), gave this information at a press conference with Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti.

According to Chaudhary, the militants attacked the Jafar Express which was carrying more than 400 passengers. Passengers were taken hostage after the attack. In response, security forces launched a campaign which continued till evening the next day. During this period, 33 militants were killed while more than 300 passengers were saved safely. Army spokesperson said that a total of 354 hostages were rescued, including 37 injured passengers. Five personnel of Frontier Corps were also killed during the campaign.

India accused of spreading unrest in Balochistan!

The Pakistani Army spokesperson once again accused India of spreading unrest in Balochistan. He also showed an alleged video of former Indian Navy official Kulbhushan Jadhav, which was asked to confess the involvement of India’s detective agency Raw. On this, India reacted strongly and said that Pakistan should focus on its internal affairs instead of blaming others for its failures. India also said that the whole world knows that “where is the center of global terrorism”.

Pak Army claims – Afghan connection of terrorists

The army spokesperson also expressed the possibility of this attack having a relationship with Afghanistan. He said that the nationality of terrorists killed in many campaigns in Pakistan was Afghan. Pakistan’s security forces are currently running around 180 intelligence campaign per day. In 2024, 59,775 campaigns were carried out while 11,654 campaigns have been conducted in 2025 so far. The government of Pakistan and security forces are constantly claiming strict action against terrorism.
