Pakistan was preparing for a nuclear attack on India after Operation Sindoor? Shahbaz Sharif responded; This thing said about Asim Munir

Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has rejected any possibility of nuclear war during a recent military confrontation with India. He clarified that Pakistan’s nuclear program is not for any attack, but for peaceful objectives and self -defense.

Addressing the students in Islamabad on Saturday, Sharif said, “Our nuclear program is for the security of the country and not for aggression. It is wrong to misunderstand the way of attack.” Referring to military tension that lasted for four days, he claimed that 55 Pakistani citizens died in Indian attacks. However, he insisted that Pakistan responded with full force.

India launched Operation Sindoor

This statement came at a time when India took major military action under ‘Operation Sindoor’ in response to the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir on 22 April. 26 innocent citizens were killed in that attack, which was taken responsibility by ‘The Resistance Front’, an organization associated with Lashkar-e-Taiba.

Under this operation, the Indian Army targeted nine terrorist bases located in Pakistan and Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK) on 7 May. These included many important hideouts including Jaish-e-Mohammed’s stronghold Bahawalpur.

Plan to make Army Chief Asim Munir President?

Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has also dismissed the reports in which it was said that President Asif Ali Zardari could be removed from the post and Army Chief Field Marshal Asim Munir is planning to replace him with him.

Pakistan PM Sharif said in a conversation with The News on Friday, “Field Marshal Asim Munir has never expressed his desire to become president nor is there any such plan. These are just speculation.” The Prime Minister also clarified that he, President Zardari and Army Chief Munir have relations based on respect and trust.

Foreign hand behind propaganda campaign: Home Minister Naqvi

Earlier on Thursday, Home Minister Mosin Naqvi condemned the ongoing propaganda campaign against Zardari, Sharif and Munir in a post on X. Naqvi wrote, “We know very well who is behind this false campaign.” He further wrote, “Those who are giving air to this false enemy, they should do whatever they want with foreign enemy agencies, but we will do whatever will be necessary to make Pakistan again. Inshallah.” Significantly, Field Marshal Asim Munir was appointed as Army Chief for three years in 2022, which was later increased by the government to five years.
