New Delhi. Pakistan Cricket Board has emerged as a force in Asian cricket amidst India’s dominance in world cricket. Mohsin Naqvi of Pakistan has been elected the new president of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC). He will replace Shami Silva of Sri Lanka in Asian cricket. Mohsin Naqvi is the chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (ACB). Prior to Shami Silva, Jai Shah of India was the president of SCC.

The Asian Cricket Council (SCC) was established in 1983. It has a total of 30 members including 5 full members. Among full members are India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Afghanistan. The first president of SCC was NKP Salve of India.
