A tremendous movement is going on against Pakistan in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK). It is gradually taking such a formidable form that can redefine the long -standing Kashmir dispute. The protests started in September 2025 under the leadership of Awami Action Committee (AAC), this protest is against economic exploitation, ignoring basic rights and cruelty of the Pakistani Army. Thousands of people have come out on the streets, shops are closed, flywheel-frame is going on, and violence has erupted in districts like Muzaffarabad, Kotli, Tiger, in which at least 12 civilians were killed and more than 200 were injured.
The Pakistani army has deployed thousands of soldiers from Punjab here. Internet and phone services have been discontinued, and firing, but the protesters are continuing ‘long march’. POK issues can be raised in the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC), where the United Kashmir People’s National Party (UKPNP) condemned Pakistan’s repressive action and demanded global intervention.
India can highlight Pakistani atrocities in POK, as Foreign Minister S.K. Jaishankar described Pakistan as a ‘center of global terrorism’ in UNGA, although Pakistan is blaming India, but video and local statements are opening its polls. India can diplomatically support the rights of the people of POK, which will weaken the false propaganda of Pakistan’s ‘Azad Kashmir’. Military and safety possibilities

Pok is a treasure of water resources for India. Projects like Mangla Dam benefit Pakistan, but they may be affected by the movement. CPEC (China-Pakistan Economic Corridor) will be affected, which is a strategic advantage for India, as it gives China to the Gulf through the Gwadar port. If the rebellion in POK connects to Balochistan, then Pakistan’s western border will be weak.
India should attract POK people by providing humanitarian assistance, but should avoid military action until necessary.
