A road accident occurred on National Highway-2 in Kaushambi district of Uttar Pradesh, in which 8 people were injured. Local people said that another vehicle was hit by a bus carrying pilgrims in Mahakumbh. Due to which this accident happened.

Talking to the news agency, the jurisdictional (Sirathu) Awadhesh Kumar Vishwakarma said that the accident took place near the Narsinghpur turtle crossing. The driver allegedly had a nap, causing the bus to hit the other vehicle. The bus was going to Prayagraj with pilgrims from Baghpat.

On the information of the people present at the scene, the police reached the spot and took the injured to the trauma center for treatment. The officer said that the bus driver was stuck in the steering area, which was rescued and admitted to the Community Health Center in Sirathu.

According to officials, the condition of the injured pilgrims is stable and after recovering, they will be sent to Prayagraj. Police said that investigation is being done to locate the vehicle in the grip of the bus. Currently, the situation is under control.

According to the information, more than half a dozen people of 55 devotees aboard the bus have been injured. Local people immediately informed the Saini police, who reached the spot and with the help of villagers took out the driver trapped in the bus. All the injured were admitted to the nearest hospital with the help of 108 ambulances.

Last week Kaushambi’s Kokhraj I fell victim to a mini bus accident. She collided with an unknown vehicle, injuring seven pilgrims going to Prayagraj. There were a total of 27 people in the bus who were going to Prayagraj for Mahakumbh.
