New Delhi. Sri Lankan opener Pathum Nisanka is in excellent form. He also scored a brilliant century in the second Test match against Bangladesh and brought the team to a strong position. Sri Lanka scored 290 runs for 2 wickets in the first innings till the second day. Bangladesh’s team was reduced to 247 runs in the first innings. Nisanka had played the best innings of 187 runs in the first Test drawing in Gaul last week and now he has scored an unbeaten 146 runs in 238 balls in the second Test with the help of 18 fours. Nisanka and Dinesh Chandimal batted brilliantly against the bowlers of Bangladesh and participated in 194 runs for the second wicket.

Dinesh Chandimal scored 93 runs off 153 balls and was seven runs away from his century but in an attempt to reverse the ball of Naeem Hasan, he was caught by wicketkeeper Litton Das. For the first time, Chandimal was dismissed for more than 90 runs. Prabhat Jayasuriya is present at the crease by scoring five runs. Nisanka and Lahiru Udara made Sri Lanka a fast start by scoring 88 runs. But Taijul Islam broke this participation after lunch. Udara scored 40 runs in 65.
