Bihar Police on Monday raided several locations associated with RJD MLA Reetlal Yadav’s associates from Danapur constituency and a close associate of Lalu Prasad family as part of an investigation into a case of forced recovery in Patna. In Kothwa village of Danapur, raids were conducted on Sunday and Monday to catch four RJD MLA’s colleagues, who are still absconding.
RJD MLA Ritlal Yadav is already in judicial custody in the same case. Talking to PTI, Municipal Superintendent of Police (West) Bhanu Pratap Singh said that on the basis of the complaint lodged by a person, a raid was conducted to nab the four absconding accused of Ritlal Yadav.
The police officer said that the complainant has alleged in his complaint that the accused dropped the structure of a building, which he was building in Danapur area, when he allegedly failed to pay the amount of extortion money. He said that RJD MLA is also accused in this case. The SP said that the police will soon catch the absconding accused as the search operation is still going on.
Significantly, MLA Ritlal Yadav surrendered in a court in Patna on 17 April. RJD MLAs representing Danapur constituency and three other colleagues- Chikku Yadav, Pinku Yadav and Shravan Yav have been sent to judicial custody.
Talking to reporters in Danapur court, the RJD MLA had said, ‘I am a victim of a political conspiracy. My life is in danger. I can be murdered. If I remain alive, I will file papers for bail. Some officers are against me. I repeat: My life is in danger.
The MLA had said, ‘I have been trying to kill me for the last several months. To end me, some officials provided a state -of -the -art weapon to my rivals.
