Pawan Kalyan’s comment comes at a time when there is a sharp tinge between the BJP-led Central Government and the DMK-ruled Tamil Nadu about the ‘three-language formula’, which is part of the new education policy.
In the Hindi-Tamil language dispute, Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has become entry. Pawan Kalyan accused Tamil Nadu of hypocrisy and said that its leaders allow Tamil films to dub in Hindi to gain financial benefits, but oppose the language.
Addressing a program organized on his party’s foundation day, the Janasena chief said that India needs many languages including Tamil for the integrity of the country. Pawan Kalyan did not name Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) but accused Tamil Nadu leaders of hypocrisy.
‘Why do Tamil films do dub in Hindi?’
He said, “People in Tamil Nadu oppose imposing Hindi. This makes me wonder why they do not want Hindi, then why do they dub Tamil films in Hindi for earning? They want money from Bollywood, but refuse to accept Hindi. What kind of argument is this?” Kalyan also emphasized that welcoming workers from Hindi speaking states like Uttar Pradesh and Bihar on behalf of Tamil Nadu, but it is “unfair” to reject their language.

A large number of migrant workers live in Tamil Nadu from Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and West Bengal, according to a survey, this number is between 15-20 lakhs. He further said, “They want revenue from Hindi -speaking states like Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Chhattisgarh, yet they say that they do not want Hindi. Is it not unfair? They welcome the workers of Bihar but reject their language. Why is this contradiction? Shouldn’t this mindset change?”
Controversy is going on between Tamil Nadu and Center
Kalyan’s comment comes at a time when a part of the new education policy in the BJP-led Center and DMK-ruled Tamil Nadu is going on. The dispute increased further when the Center stopped Rs 2,152 crore for the overall education plan of Tamil Nadu because the state refused to implement the NEP. Tamil Nadu has long been watching the ‘Trishag’ formula as an attempt to impose Hindi on the state, while the Center says that the purpose of this policy is to ensure that the youth get employment in all areas.
