India is one of the powerful countries of the world. It is identified around the world as a very balanced strength, diplomatic behavior. All the countries of the world want to establish good relations with India. India also looks ready for this. Recently, Pew Research conducted a survey, in which he sought opinion from 24 countries of the world about India. On the basis of the survey, both positive and negative attitude towards India came to light. The Pew Research Center has conducted this survey from 8 January to 26 April 2025. In the survey, people from 24 countries have more comparatively positive attitude about India.
Out of 24 countries, 47% of people have positive opinions about India, while 38% of the people’s thinking appeared negative. Other 13% of the people have no opinion. The survey was conducted before the terrorist attack on tourists in Kashmir in April and before the announcement of the fight between India and Pakistan and to increase the tariff on the goods imported from India. In this list, 49 percent of the US people have positive attitude towards India, while the people of Canada and UK are 47 and 60 percent positively.
What else happened in research
About half of the surveyed, there is more positive attitude towards India. Kenya, United Kingdom and Israel’s opinion is quite favorable to India, where 6 or more people say that they have positive opinions towards India. In Germany, Japan, Indonesia and Nigeria, majority people also say that they have a positive attitude towards India. Turkas and more than half of Australia people say that they have a negative attitude towards India.
Argentina and Brazil also have more negative thinking. In some countries including America and South Korea, opinion about India is almost equal. In South Africa, while respondents have generally expressed more critical views about India, 46% of the people said that their views are positive.
