Piyush goel on startup india: For the last few days, a picture is becoming very fast on social media. Startups of India and China have been compared in this picture. It shows that most of the startups in India are working like food delivery apps, ice cream, cookies and instant delivery, while China’s startups are paying attention to areas like EV (electric vehicle), semiconductor, AI (Artificial Intelligence), Robotics and Deep Tek. There has also been a response from the government about this picture.
“Will we be happy as a delivery boy?”
Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal told Indian Startup Groups on Thursday to move on to make grocery delivery and ice cream. He said that the time has come to work in advanced areas like startups semiconductor, machine learning, AI, robotics. He questioned, “Will we be happy by becoming a delivery boy? Is this the direction of India? It is not a startup, just business. Look at the other side, countries like China are working on robotics, machine learning, 3D manufacturing and future factories.”
Piyush Goyal appealed for new startups
Piyush Goyal said that new startups should work towards preparing India for the future. He asked, “Should we only pay attention to making ice cream and chips?” Apart from this, he had also recently appealed to the content creators to work on the responsible and new ideas. He also said that India’s export income can be increased from areas like film production, music, gaming and digital media.
He also reminded that a decade ago, Prime Minister Narendra Modi started Digital India, which was aimed at new entrepreneurs, startups and content creators in every corner of the country.
