A small passenger plane crashed a few moments after flying from Southnd Airport in London on Sunday afternoon. The aircraft caught fire and the thick smoke spread into the sky. There is no news of any kind of damage yet.
This accident took place at around 4 pm local time. According to preliminary information, the crashed aircraft was the Beech B200 Super King Air, a twin engine turboprop jet and left for Lelistad of the Netherlands.
Emergency services became active soon after the incident. Police, fire brigade and relief teams reached the spot fast. It is not yet clear how many people were riding in the aircraft and how much loss of life.
Eyewitnesses described the accident as “tragic” and said that a few moments before the accident, some people had greeted the crew of the aircraft.
