PM Modi Arrives in Brazil on Four Day Visit to take Part Brics Summit

PM modi visit brazil: Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Brazil on a 4 -day visit. During this time, he will take part in the 17th BRICS Summit and also take a state visit. Prime Minister Modi was given a grand welcome on Saturday (July 5, 2025) at the Galao International Airport. The Prime Minister’s visit took place on the invitation of Brazilian President Luiz Eneasio Lula Da Silva.

This is the fourth phase of PM Modi’s visit to 5 countries. Posted on the social media platform X, Prime Minister Modi said, “I have reached Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where I will attend the BRICS summit and later on the invitation of President Lula, I will go to the capital Brasilia on a state visit. I hope to have a meaningful phase of meetings and conversations during this journey.”

PM Modi reached Brazil after Argentina

Foreign Ministry spokesman Randhir Jaiswal said in the X post, “Committed to BRICS partnership! Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Rio de Janeiro, Brazil for the 17th BRICS summit.” PM Modi arrived here from Argentina, where he held extensive conversations with President Xavier Miley and agreed to increase bilateral trade, increase cooperation in defense, important minerals, medicines, energy and mining areas.

During his visit, Prime Minister Modi will attend the BRICS summit at Rio de Janeiro on 6 and 7 July, followed by a state visit. For which they will go to Brasilia. This will be an Indian Prime Minister’s first bilateral visit to the country in about six decades.

President Silva will do bilateral discussion

During the state visit to Brazil, Prime Minister Modi will go to Brasilia, where he will hold bilateral discussions on broadening the strategic partnership between the two countries in areas of mutual interest, including business, defense, energy, space, technology, agriculture, health and people with contacts between the two countries.

In a statement before leaving for a visit to five countries, Prime Minister Modi said that as a founding member of BRICS, India is committed to making this group an important platform for cooperation among emerging economies.
