During the debate on Operation Sindoor in the Lok Sabha on Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took a sarcasm at the Congress that it is not allowing some of her MPs to speak on the issue. PM Modi’s gesture was towards Shashi Tharoor and Manish Tiwari. Both Manish Tiwari and Shashi Tharoor were part of the all -party delegation who went to various countries to surround Pakistan on the issue of supporting terrorism after Operation Sindoor.

Speaking in the lower house of Parliament, Prime Minister Modi said, ‘Even if our hearts are not together in the party’s interest, but should be together in the national interest. There is now a vermilion spirit in the country, which we saw when our representatives went to tell the world the side of India. I congratulate them all. However, big leaders of Congress are also unhappy with this. Some have also been prevented from speaking in the House. Shashi Tharoor was seen smiling at PM Modi’s comment.

Three -time MP from Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala, Tharoor, has been vocal in support of the Modi government on Operation Sindoor. At the same time, Congress MP from Anandpur Sahib in Punjab, Manish Tiwari has also avoided criticizing the government on Operation Sindoor. However, this Congress leadership did not like and these two MPs were not named in the list of Congress speakers for debate in the Lok Sabha.

After this, Prime Minister Modi sent a message with poetic lines. He said, ‘If we get our minds in the interest of the party or not, our mind should be found in the interest of the country. Do discuss and do so much, enemies are shocked by panic, meditation remains firm in sindoor and army questions. If the attack took place on Maa Bharti, then we have to hit a fierce attack, we have to live for India wherever the enemy is sitting. Earlier on Monday, when reporters asked Shashi Tharoor about Operation Sindoor in the Parliament House complex that he would speak or criticize the government, the Congress MP said, ‘My silence is fast’.
