Vande bharat train: Just before the assembly elections in Bihar, Bihar has got another gift of Vande Bharat Express, the most flagship train of Indian Railways in recent years. Today on Friday (20 June 2025), Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a tour of Bihar. A new Vande Bharat Express (train number 26502/26501) has started between Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh and Pataliputra in Bihar. Today, PM Modi has given the green signal to the new train. This train will bring a new option of fast, safe and convenient journey between eastern Uttar Pradesh and North Bihar. This train will run six days a week (except Saturday).
This train from Gorakhpur will leave at 5.40 am and reach Pataliputra at 12.45 pm, while in return, Pataliputra will run at 3:30 pm and reach Gorakhpur at 10:30 pm. Vande Bharat Express train includes Gorakhpur, Kaptanganj and Paniahwa in Uttar Pradesh and Bagaha in Bihar, Narkatiaganj, Bettiah, Sagauli, Bapudham Motihari, Muzaffarpur, Hajipur Stops. On the occasion of the inauguration of this new train, a statement has been issued by the Railways that this train is a strong example of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s commitment to ‘development of Eastern India’, which is working towards connecting neglected areas with the mainstream.
Vande Bharat Train is strengthening railway connectivity
By adding the train, now 13 Vande Bharat train in Bihar and 15 in Uttar Pradesh are strengthening the railway connectivity. At present, 71 Vande Bharat trains have been operating across the country. Recently, the Prime Minister has also given a new Vande Bharat train to Jammu and Kashmir. This is also ensuring a fast -paced journey with uninterrupted connectivity in Jammu and Kashmir. The craze of common passengers towards this Vande India can be gauged from the fact that the booking of Vande India from Jammu to Kashmir is full for the next one month.
Vande Bharat Express train starts new era
Railways has said that Vande Bharat Express train has started a new era for Indian Railways passengers. This train is not only fast, but also has modern facilities that make the journey pleasant and safe. Vande India’s semi-highspeed capacity reduces travel time significantly. For example, the distance from Gorakhpur to Pataliputra is now being covered in 7 hours, the journey of which used to take 10 to 12 hours before. This saving time gives passengers more time for their family, work and other activities.

This train has facilities such as AC coaches, automatic doors, bio toilets, GPS information system, onboard catering, Wi-Fi, and CCTV security and these facilities will give passengers a premium and comfortable experience, which was not possible in ordinary trains. Railways has said that this train will give new pace to the economic and social development of Bihar and UP. Vande Bharat train is contributing to economic and social development by increasing regional connectivity. Pataliputra-Gorakhpur Vande is adding districts like India Patna, Vaishali, Muzaffarpur, East Champaran, West Champaran, Kushinagar and Gorakhpur.
