PM Modi Mahakumbh Triveeni Sangam Prayagraj Holy Dip

Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Prayagraj Mahakumbh on Wednesday (February 5, 2025) and took a dip of faith in Triveni Sangam. He duly worshiped mother Ganga, mother Yamuna and invisible Saraswati and gave the message of unity and ‘Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat’ to the whole world. Amidst the Vedic chanting, the PM took a bath with full devotion and offered arghya to Lord Surya. After this, he performed the Aarti of Maa Ganga and offered Akshat, flowers and fruits in the confluence.

Aarti launched after worshiping
Before bathing the Sangam, PM Modi duly offered prayers. After taking blessings by touching the water, he offered Arghya to the Sun and offered it to his ancestors. After bathing, special worship was completed in the presence of pilgrim priests on the Sangam coast. During this time he was wearing a black kurta and saffron patka. Sangam bath done in special yoga
PM Modi’s confluence bath took place on a very special day. According to the Hindu calendar, this day was of Bhishmashtami, which comes during Gupta Navratri. On this day, worship of Goddess worship and ancestors has special significance. In this auspicious coincidence, PM Modi earned virtue by taking a holy bath.

Bathing with devotees, no restriction
Despite the arrival of PM Modi, bathing continued at Sangam Ghat. The administration did not stop any devotee from bathing. PM Modi also took a bath in Triveni Sangam like other devotees, causing the shouts of “Har-Har Gange” and “Modi-Modi” to echo at the ghat.

Yogi Adityanath welcomed PM Modi
The Prime Minister reached Prayagraj Airport in the morning, from where Arail Ghat came by helicopter. At Arail Ghat, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath welcomed PM Modi, then PM reached Sangam by special boat. During this, he took information from CM Yogi on the arrangements of Kumbh and took stock of the facilities of the devotees.

So far 39 crore devotees have bathed in Mahakumbh
So far, more than 39 crore devotees have taken a dip of faith in Triveni Sangam, which started from January 13. According to the administration, despite the VIP movement, the devotees are not having any problem.

PM Modi did many development works before Mahakumbh
Prior to Mahakumbh, on 13 December 2024, PM Modi inaugurated 167 development projects worth Rs 5,500 crore in Prayagraj. These included many schemes like railway station upgradation, flyover, widening, beautification of ghats, river front, sewerage system and power supply. Apart from this, Akshayavat Corridor, Saraswati Cup Corridor, Bada Hanuman Temple Corridor and Shringverpur Dham Corridor were also launched.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Prayagraj is considered historic for Mahakumbh. The bathing, worship of PM has further strengthened the spirituality and religious faith of Mahakumbh.
