Prime Minister Narendra Modi mentioned the Ippuvu Laddu being prepared by tribal women of Adilabad district of Telangana on 30 March 2025. She appreciated these women and said that she is getting self-employment by making various cuisine with Emppuvu flowers, which is a source of inspiration for other people.
In Utnur area of ​​Adilabad district, 12 women are running a center called ‘Adivasi Diet’ under the leadership of Kumar Bhagubai, president of ‘Bhim Bai Tribal Mahila Sahakar Sangh’, where these Ippuvu laddus are prepared. In order to make them, women collect the flowers from the forest in the morning, dry them, roasted and grind them and then make laddus by mixing peanuts, cardamom, almonds, cashews and jaggery. The price of these laddus is ₹ 400 per kilogram.
Consumption of these laddus causes blood growth
Consumption of these laddus increases blood in the body and it is helpful in removing problems like anemia. They are being distributed as nutritious food to children in the ashram schools of Utnur region. Tribal women are very happy when Prime Minister Modi mentioned this initiative in ‘Mann Ki Baat’ and has hoped that the government will provide necessary equipment and resources to their small industry, so that they can distribute their products across the country and provide employment to more people.
