Waves 2025 is being organized to promote India’s media and entertainment industry globally. This is the first summit of its kind.
PM Modi will inaugurate the four -day conference at the Jio World Convention Center in Mumbai. PM Modi will arrive at 10.30 am. The conference will run till 4 May.
Waves are participating in creative professionals, investors, startups and technical entrepreneurs from around the world. ‘Connecting Creators, Connecting Countries’ is the tagline of Waves 2025.
During this period, more than 10 thousand representatives from more than 90 countries, 1000 creators, more than 300 companies and more than 350 startups will be included.
Startups like Netflix, Amazon, Google, Meta, Adobe, Tata, Soni, Reliance, Yash Raj Films, Balaji Telefilms, Saregama and Jetthesis, Neural Garage, Free Stream Tech are participating in 2025.
The conference will also have 32 sessions, 39 breakout sessions and 32 master classes in various fields including telecast, infotainment, AVGC-XR, film and digital media.
PM will talk to the participants of Creatorosphere
The Prime Minister will also interact with young creators from all over the world, who have participated in 31 various ‘Create in India’ challenges in ‘Creatosphere’. He will also give awards to Winners. Createosphere will showcase his talent in Creatorna, Germany, United States, Greece, Indonesia, United Kingdom and Canada, 43 international finalists from 20 countries. The youngest finalists are just 12 years old and the eldest is 66 years old.
Bollywood celebrities will be kenot speakers in session Bollywood’s big names like Amitabh Bachchan, Rajinikanth, Hema Malini, Chiranjeevi, Mohanlal and Mithun Chakraborty will be the speaker in a panel called “Legends and Leghesies: The Stories that Shaped India Sol”. Akshay Kumar will host this session.
The rest of the sessions of Waves 2025 will include actors like Aamir Khan, Alia Bhatt, Anil Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal as well as top directors and makers like SS Rajamouli and AR Rahman.
Ministers of 30 countries will participate in global media dialogue
Under Waves 2025, ministers from 30 countries may be involved in the global media dialogue to be held on Friday. The dialogue will be chaired by External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and Information and Broadcasting Minister Ashwini Vaishnav. Waves manifesto is also expected to be released in the global media dialogue, which will create a framework for sustainable development, inclusion and global cooperation in media and entertainment.
Meanwhile, Information and Broadcasting Minister can have bilateral meetings with senior ministers from United Kingdom, Russia, Egypt, Bhutan, Bahrain, Iswatin and Indonesia.
