In the US, a pilot of Indian origin has been arrested in a case related to alleged sexual offenses against a girl. The US state of California, the Contra Costa County Sheriff Office, informed in an official statement that the pilot belongs to Delta Airlines, which was detained at San Francisco International Airport. 34-year-old accused Rustom is a resident of Bhagwagar Florida and was arrested from the same plane in which he was a co-pilot.
According to officials, detectives of the investigation department of Contra Costa County Sheriff started working on the matter in April 2025 after receiving a report of child sexual abuse. Subsequently, an arrest warrant was issued in Ramey for Bhagwagar. During the investigation, it was found that Bhagwagar is a pilot in a commercial airline Delta Airlines.
Officials came to know that Bhagwagar was supposed to land at San Francisco International Airport on the evening of 26 July. The Boeing 757-300 aircraft was the co-pilot, the delta flight from Miniyapolis 2809 which landed late at around 9.35 pm due to dense fog. Soon after, the authorities arrested the pilot.
Passengers aboard the plane described the arrest of the pilot as surprising. Eyewitnesses said that the Homeland Security Investigation Employees and Air Marshals came to arrest the pilot who rode in it soon after the aircraft landing.
What else did the passengers say?
At least 10 armed officers entered the cockpit via the aircraft corridor, where they arrested Bhagwagar in front of the shocked passengers.
A passenger told San Francisco Chronicle via email, “They (officers) entered the cockpit, handcuffing the co-pilot, took him from the corridor and removed it from the aircraft from the doors.”
What is on Bhagwagar is alleging that he has had oral intercourse with a girl under 10 years of age five times. In this case, he has been kept in Martinease Detention Facility. He has been kept on bail of $ 5 million.
