In a case of sexual exploitation, a day after Janata Dal (Secular) leader Prajwal Revanna was given prisoner at Bangalore’s Parappana Aghara Agrahara Agrahara Agrahara, a day after the sentence of life imprisonment by a special court of MPs/MLAs in Karnataka capital Bengaluru. This information was given by the jail officials on Sunday (August 3, 2025).

Former Prime Minister and JD (S) (JDS) chief HD Deve Gowda’s grandson Revanna spent the first night in jail after the special court verdict on Saturday (August 2, 2025). It is reported that he was crying and was also seen very upset. The doctors of the jail assessed his health to ensure his stable condition late on Saturday (2 August).

Senior officials spoke about the medical examination of Revanna

In this regard, a senior official said, “He cried during medical examination and expressed his pain in front of the employees.” Prajwal has allegedly informed the employees that he had approached the High Court to challenge his sentence. The former MP is currently locked in high security cell and is being given strict security.

Prisoner number given to Revanna by jail administration

According to the jail officials, the standard dress code is being followed for the culprits and will have to wear uniforms given to the prisoners. He said that in the morning of Sunday (August 3, 2025), the prisoner number was officially given to the prisoner number 15,528.

Court imposed a fine of Rs 11.50 lakh with life imprisonment

Prajwal was sentenced to stay in imprisonment till the rest of his life on Saturday (August 2) and fined a total of Rs 11.50 lakh. The court directed that Rs 11.25 lakh should be given to the domestic assistant and victim of Revanna’s family.

Special court convicted Revanna on Friday, sentenced on Saturday

It is noteworthy that a special court of Bengaluru has convicted 34 -year -old Prajwal Revanna in one of the four cases of sexual exploitation and rape. Special court judge Santosh Gajanan Bhat, a special court of MPs/MLAs, ruled on Saturday (August 1, 2025) after convicting Prajwal Revanna.
