On Monday, he got unconditional bail from the civil court, 15 hours after his arrest. After this, he talked to journalists at Sheikhpura House in Patna late yesterday evening. During this, he said that ‘the court has accepted our request and given unconditional bail. This is public support. They did not have any paper to keep him in Beur jail. Kept sitting waiting for the paper. By then the final decision of the court had come.

Prashant Kishore said that ‘my fast was continuing, is continuing, will continue. I am not withdrawing the fast. There will be a meeting at midnight, in which I will decide the place of fast and announce it on Tuesday.

PK claimed that ‘the matter will be settled at Gandhi Maidan only. If it started from Gandhi Maidan, this is the insistence of the youth of Bihar. Prashant Kishor was on a fast unto death at Gandhi Maidan from 5 pm on Thursday, January 2.

Police had reached Beur jail on the orders of the court.

On Monday (January 6) around 2 pm, Patna Civil Court had ordered to send him to judicial custody for 14 days. Late in the evening the police took Prashant Kishore to Beur jail. But the court order had not reached the jail administration. After this the police took PK to Beur police station. They stayed here for some time. After this he got bail.

Police picked up at 4 am on Monday morning

Police arrested PK early Monday morning. He appeared in Patna Civil Court 5 hours after his arrest. SDJM Aarti Upadhyay got bail from the court on a personal bond of Rs 25 thousand. Prashant Kishore himself argued during his appearance in the court. He told the judge the manner in which police brutality was committed. Got bail from the court, but Prashant Kishore was not ready to take conditional bail.

Patna Police forcibly removed him from Gandhi Maidan at 4 am on Monday. During this period the police also had to face heavy opposition. Supporters claim that during the removal, a policeman slapped Prashant Kishor and forcibly picked him up from there and made him sit in an ambulance.
