New Delhi. India’s batsman Prithvi Shaw has written a letter to the Mumbai Cricket Association before the upcoming domestic season. Shaw has been out of the red ball setup for some time, although he has played white ball cricket. But disciplinary issues outside his ground have made more headlines than his performance. A senior MCA officer confirmed PTI on Monday that there is a letter of Shaw in which he is talking about leaving Mumbai. It has been sent to the top council for approval.

The MCA official said, “Yes, we have received his letter and it has been sent to the top council for approval, and it is expected that it will be decided by evening. MCA source gave information. 25 -year -old Shaw has played five Tests and six ODIs for India, was dropped from Mumbai Ranji team last year due to poor fitness and lack of discipline.

After not playing in the remaining matches of the Ranji Trophy season, Shaw last played against Madhya Pradesh in the final of Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Trophy for Mumbai, in which his team won by five wickets. Shaw’s fitness and discipline faced strong criticism by fans during the last session. Rather, captain Shreyas Iyer, who won the title to Mumbai in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, also looked a bit unhappy.

Iyer said, “He will have to correct the morality of his work, and if he does so, there is no limit to the sky for him. We cannot take care of anyone, right? Is every professional playing at this level should know what they should do.”
