Protest against waqf bill: On Monday (March 17, 2025) against the Waqf Amendment Bill, the All India Muslim Personal Law Board organized a dharna at Jantar Mantar, in which leaders of all opposition parties attended.
As it was told by AIMPLB, under this dharna, they will introduce Muslims with their action plan, then it has been decided by AIMPLB in the dharna that before it is near the Waqf Bill, there will be a protest against the Waqf Amendment Bill in all the major cities of the country and this demonstration will be started from Patna, the capital of Bihar.
‘If you pass the bill in Parliament, you will return the bill’
Let us tell you that in both these states, BJP’s ally JDU and TDP have governments. And there will be a demonstration in the rest of the country so that the government and their allies are under pressure. AIMPLB spokesperson Dr. S QR Ilyas said in a conversation with ABP News that if this bill is passed in Parliament, we will get it back. Because when the government enacted 3 laws for the farmers and when the farmers stayed on the border of Delhi for a year, the government had to withdraw the law. In the same way, we will also allow the government to allow or not, they will take to the streets against this bill.
Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi did not join
The All India Muslim Personal Law Board had sent an invitation to Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha to join the demonstration, but these two leaders did not participate in the demonstration but in the Lok Sabha, the Congress joined the Congress and the rest of the leaders, besides the rest of the leaders, Deputy Options Leader Gaurav Gogoi. Apart from this, AIMPLB also invited all the MPs involved in JPC to join the dharna. In which MPs of the government’s ally TDP were also invited.
