The victim has told the police that he is not mentally stable at the moment.
In the case of raping the house in Kondhwa area of Pune, the police have claimed that the accused is not a delivery agent, but a woman who knows the victim. Police said that preliminary investigation has revealed that the accused works in an IT company in Pune. He was detained from Baneer area on Friday. However, no formal arrests have been made so far.
Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar said that no evidence of the use of any spray has been found during the opposite attack to the victim’s earlier claims. The police also said that selfie was taken from the girl’s phone, but it was taken by mutual consent.
Not only this, the disputed text on the picture, which went viral on social media, was also added by the woman after the accused left.
The incident took place on Wednesday evening, when a case was registered against an unknown person at Kondhwa police station after the victim’s complaint.
The 22 -year -old engineer said that the accused entered the flat on the pretext of giving the envelope of the bank. When she went inside the house to pick up the pin, she closed the door and raped her.
10 police teams, 500 soldiers investigated CCTV footage
Following the complaint of the girl, the Pune police formed 10 teams to locate and catch the accused. Out of which 5 were crime branch and 5 were local teams. More than 500 policemen were deployed in them. CCTV footage was searched to identify and find the accused.
Police said the statement of rape allegations was being recorded. Further action will depend on the outcome of the ongoing investigation. We appeal to the public and the media not to reach any conclusion until the investigation is completed.
The girl had said- the brother had gone out, was alone at home
The news was revealed on 2 July. Zone 5 Pune City DCP Rajkumar Shinde had said that the girl has studied IT from a college in Pune. She works in a private firm. She was alone in her apartment on Wednesday evening as her brother went out of the city.
Shinde had told that the girl does not remember anything because she regained consciousness at around 8.30 pm. He then informed his relatives and later told the police. The victim was sent for medical examination, then a case was registered.
