Punjab Governor Gulab Chand Kataria has started a padyatra with the aim of preventing increasing outbreak of drug addiction and making the youth aware. The journey started from Dera Baba Nanak. This journey will remain in Gurdaspur till 6 April. While Governor Kataria Amri on 7-8 April

The main objective of this padyatra is to raise awareness about the problem of intoxication, motivate the youth to stay away from drugs and unite to save the society from this crisis. Governor Kataria has earlier said that the Government of India and the Punjab government are taking this issue seriously and all sections of the society should support in this campaign.
