Both lanes of Shambhu border were opened on Thursday. Due to which there has been a big relief to those coming from Punjab to Haryana and Delhi. Both these borders were closed for 13 months due to the performance of farmers.

After the opening of Shambhu and Khanouri border, Haryana Police has also removed barricading on the horoscope border adjacent to Delhi.

At the same time, 101 farmers including Kisan Mazdoor Morcha (KMM) convenor Saravan Singh Pandher have been sent to Central Jail in Patiala. While the leader of the United Kisan Morcha (Non Political) Jagjit Dallawal refused to take treatment. The team of doctors is monitoring him in Jalandhar.

On the other hand, Agriculture Minister Gurmeet Singh Khudis will hold a meeting with the leaders of the United Kisan Morcha (SKM) and the Bharatiya Kisan Union Ugrahan (BKU) at 4 pm today at 4 pm. Earlier at 11 am, farmer leaders will meet and decide whether they will go or not. The agitating organizations were not invited to negotiate.

After this, talks were held 4 times in 10 days, 15 and 18 February, but the solution was not found. Till then the farmers staged an indefinite strike. After which talks with the center stopped. Meanwhile, the farmers tried to travel to Delhi 4 times in the month of December, but four times the Haryana Police stopped tear gas shells.

Case reached Supreme Court from High Court, talks started on Dallawal’s fast PIL was filed in the Punjab and Haryana High Court for opening Shambhu border due to non -talk of the Center. The High Court asked to open the Shambhu border in a month. The Haryana government went to the Supreme Court against it. The Supreme Court formed a committee for arbitration between the central and farmers. Meanwhile, farmer leader Jagjit Dallawal started a fast from 26 November. After which the Center again agreed to talk.

Talks took place in Chandigarh on 14 February 2025 but no solution was found. The meeting was held again on 22 February but the farmers refused to end the agitation till the guarantee law is enacted on MSP.

He also tried to convince the farmers but he did not agree to remove the strike. After this, the Punjab government prepared 72 hours ago that the agitation would be removed by force through the police. The day of March 19 was chosen for this.

On that day, Union ministers had a meeting with farmer leaders in Chandigarh. Most of the farmer leaders who led the agitation on Shambhu and Khanouri border came to attend the meeting.

After the meeting on March 19, the police detained the farmer leaders and evacuated both the border.

Forces sent before the meeting starts, Pandher-Dallewal detained after finishing The meeting of the central and farmers lasted from 11 to 3 pm i.e. 4 hours. Saravan Pandher, who was returning to Shambhu border from here, was taken into custody from Airport Road in Mohali. The Dallewal, who was on hunger strike, was returning to the Khanouri border in the ambulance, surrounded in Sangrur. The police left with Dallawal, including the ambulance. After this, immediately the Punjab Police started removing farmers from Khanouri and Shambhu border. Those adamant were taken into custody.

On March 19, a bulldozer was run on the farmers’ sheds on the Shambhu border. The Punjab Police was taken away from the farmers sitting here.

Haryana Police opened Shambhu border in 10 hours, barricading from Khanouri also removed Haryana Police also came into action on Thursday (March 20) as soon as the Punjab Police was removed. At around 8:30 in the morning, the police reached the bulldozer to break the barricading. By half past one in the afternoon, the police opened the part from Patiala to Ambala.
