NIA has taken action against four accused in the 2021 bomb blast case in the court complex in Ludhiana, Punjab. NIA has seized the property of the four accused. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) said that an IED was involved in the blast that occurred on December 23, 2021.

The name of the deceased was Gagandeep Singh and 6 other people were injured in this incident. After investigating the case, acting on the orders of the special court of NIA located in Mohali, the agency arrested accused Surmukh, total 15 kanals 19 marlas of village Kotli Kheda, accused Dilbag Singh Baggo, total 27 kanals 16 marlas of village Chakka Allah Baksh, accused Harpreet. Singh Happy Malaysia, total 27 kanal 1 marla of village Mandi Khurd and 15 marla of village Bakkha Hari Singh and A total of 15 Kanal 18 Marla land of Rajanpreet Singh’s village Kolowal Amritsar has been confiscated.

NIA investigation had revealed that the blast was carried out on the orders of Lakhbir Singh Rode, head of Pakistan-based International Youth Federation (ISYF).

These 6 people were injured in the blast Sandeep Kaur (31 years) of Rajkot village of Ludhiana and Sharanjeet Kaur (25 years) of Jamalpur, who were injured in the blast, were admitted to the Civil Hospital. Manish Kumar (32 years), resident of Police Colony, was admitted to CMC Ludhiana. Kuldeep Singh Mand (50 years) and Krishna Khanna (75 years) are undergoing treatment at DMC Ludhiana. Apart from this, another man is injured.

Mutilated body recovered from bathroom The blast took place in the bathroom on the third floor of Ludhiana Court Complex. Due to this, two walls of the bathroom collapsed and the floor broke and reached the second floor. After the blast, a mutilated body was found on the spot. It was suspected that this body was that of the person who was fitting the bomb. His face and legs were torn to pieces in the blast. The forensic team had collected the torso, legs and head.

The deceased had explosives At that time, initial investigation had revealed that the person whose dead body was found in the bathroom was carrying explosives. He was probably fitting the bomb through an IED and at that very moment the explosion occurred.
