Can parents kill their children with their own hands? This question was raised 17 years ago during the Aarushi Talwar murder in 2008. At that time the whole country was shocked. People could not believe that a doctor couple, Nupur and Rajesh Talwar can kill their only daughter. 17 years after Aarushi’s death, now another case has revived the same question. This time in Gurugram, the allegations of killing 25 -year -old Radhika Yadav are on her father.
A three -storey kothi in the posh Sushant folk area of Gurugram. It was around 10:30 am on 10 July. Suddenly there is a sound of a firing. Radhika’s uncle Kuldeep Yadav, who lives on the ground floor of the house, runs away. Radhika is covered with blood on the kitchen floor. He has a license pistol, which is of father Deepak Yadav. Radhika is rushed to the hospital in a hurry, but by then it was late. The doctors declared Radhika dead.
After this, Gurugram police reached the spot. The investigation started. Only three people were present in the house at that time. Radhika, her father Deepak Yadav and mother Manju Yadav. Deepak’s son Dheeraj was out of the house at that time. Mother Manju was ill and lying in another room. Based on uncle Kuldeep’s statement and evidence found from the spot, the needle of suspicion went directly to Deepak Yadav. According to the statements recorded in the FIR, Deepak Yadav himself confessed that he had shot his daughter with his licensed pistol.
He fired five rounds, out of which four bullets were fired to Radhika. The police found five kiosks from the spot. Deepak said that the people of the village used to taunt her to eat daughter’s earnings. Therefore, under mental stress, he took this step. But is the reason really so straight? Many theories have been revealed about this matter in social media and police investigation.
First Theory: Music Video
The video of a music album is going viral on social media, in which Radhika was seen. It is being said that due to this video, the villagers used to taunt Deepak Yadav. But this video is more than a year old and there is nothing objectionable in it. Then why taunt?
Second Theory: Social Activity
It said that Radhika Yadav had reels on Instagram, which Deepak Yadav did not like. But Radhika’s Instagram account was private. It had only 67 followers, out of which only 4 were men. All of them also know and acquire. Then how did his post reach the villagers? How do people know?
Third Theory: Daughter’s fabric
In the police interrogation, Deepak Yadav said that people used to taunt him to eat daughter’s earnings. But the fact is that there was no special income from Radhika’s tennis academy yet. On the contrary, Deepak Yadav himself invested in opening the academy. He spent crores of rupees for Radhika.
Radhika was a one -time national level tennis player. But two years ago, he stopped playing after a serious shoulder injury. After this she started giving coaching. In May 2024, with the help of father, he started his tennis academy in Gurugram. According to her former coach Ajay Yadav, Radhika had a tremendous passion.
She wanted freedom, wanted to go abroad, wanted to live openly. But in the house, he had to face many restrictions. In a chat Radhika tells her coach, “Just have to live for some time.” He had also requested his coach to send some children to his academy so that his work could be done.
She was struggling, but was trying to become self -sufficient. Radhika’s social media presence was very limited. Nor was she earning any big money. Then the question arises whether Deepak Yadav killed his daughter really after being troubled by the taunts of the villagers? Or is the reason for this murder?
Only the family members know the things inside the house. But uncle Kuldeep Yadav also said the same that he could not understand the reason for the murder. The most mysterious thing in this whole story is that a father, who spent more than two and a half crores in his daughter’s tennis career so far, has fulfilled his need, he killed his daughter?
Was there any taunt that would make such a big step to take such a big step? Gurugram police got the custody of Deepak Yadav for a day. After this, he has been sent to 14 days judicial custody on Saturday. The police has made its inquiry. What was the real reason for Radhika’s death, it will come in front of people in the coming time.
But at the moment, it is certain that, after Aarushi Talwar, Radhika Yadav has once again alive the question whether parents can be the murderers of their own children?
