Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has directly accused the BJP for the Maharashtra assembly elections held in November 2024. He said that ‘match fixing’ was done in this election, which already tried to decide the BJP’s victory.

Rahul Gandhi said in an article in The Indian Express that the BJP and its allies had planned 5 steps to win the election. He also said that match -fixing like Maharashtra will be in Bihar next time, then in any state where the BJP is seen losing.

The BJP has described Rahul Gandhi’s allegations as shameful. BJP spokesperson Tusshar Sinha said, ‘Rahul Gandhi is again trying to discredit the institutions of the country. The Election Commission has given a clear answer on these issues earlier.

Rahul said- poison for election democracy by match fixing match

Rahul said that it is not difficult to understand why the BJP was in such a furore in Maharashtra. But rigging is like match fixing. The team that cheats may win, but it weakens the institutions and the public’s trust in the election results ends.

Every responsible Indian should look at these evidences, decide himself and ask questions. Elections by match fixing are poison for any democracy.

Rahul said- Government took possession of Election Commission

Rahul Gandhi wrote in his article, ‘I am not talking about any small electoral disturbance, but I am talking about such rigging which was done on a large scale and in which an attempt was made to capture the important institutions of the country.’

Rahul made the first charge about the ‘Election Commissioner Appointment Act’ brought by the BJP government in 2023. Through this law, a Union Minister was seated in place of CJI in the committee appointing Election Commissioners. This ended the fairness and the entire control went into the hands of the government.

Rahul wrote, ‘It is not right to remove the Chief Justice and bring the cabinet minister. Think, why would someone remove a fair person and bring his man? The answer is found automatically. ‘
