‘Rahul Gandhi was in Vietnam on Holi’, BJP raised questions on Congress leader’s foreign visits – BJP Raises Questions on Congress Leader Rahul Gandi Foreign Trips NTC

The BJP on Saturday accused Congress MP Rahul Gandhi of constantly traveling to Vietnam and other countries, which was not publicly disclosed. The party said that such undeclared visits are indecent for the Leader of the Opposition and expressed concern about national security.

Addressing the press conference, Ravi Shankar Prasad said, “New year in Vietnam, Holi also in Vietnam? I have been told that he spent 22 days in Vietnam. He has not spent so much time in his constituency Rae Bareli.”

When Ravi Shankar Prasad targeted Rahul Gandhi’s Vietnam Yatra, Amit Malviya claimed that this raises serious questions on national security.

Speaking about Rahul Gandhi’s foreign visits from Congress, BJP’s IT cell chief Amit Malviya said in the X, “As the Leader of the Opposition, Rahul Gandhi holds an important position, and many of his secret foreign trips, especially during the Parliament session raise serious questions on justification and national security.”

Let me tell you that Rahul Gandhi’s recent Vietnam Yatra took place during the ongoing budget session in Parliament and during the seven -day mourning period of former Prime Minister of India and senior Congress leader Manmohan Singh, months after leaving for South Asian country. After the death of Manmohan Singh on 26 December, Gandhi’s last visit to Vietnam was also severely criticized, in which the BJP said that the Congress leaders went to celebrate the new year, when the country is mourning the death of Dr. Manmohan Singh.

Malaviya had said, “Rahul Gandhi politicized Dr. Singh’s death for politics as per his convenience, but his contempt towards him is unacceptable.”

However, the Congress party defended Rahul Gandhi’s visit to Vietnam earlier, saying that he had been going to Vietnam to study his economic model. Congress leader Harish Rawat had given a statement, “He (Rahul) has gone to study the economic model there.”
