Raja raghuwanshi murder case: A court of Shillong on Thursday (19 June 2025) in the Raja Raghuvanshi murder case of Indore extended police custody of Sonam Raghuvanshi and her lover Raj Kushwaha for two days. At the same time, three other accused involved in this murder were sent to judicial custody for 14 days.
Why did the police ask for Sonam-Raj’s custody?
SP of East Khasi Hills said, “We have sought a 2-day police remand, because our team is still in Indore. As we will get more inputs from them. We can interrogate these people. We will get the detention from the court if needed. The rest of the people have been sent to judicial custody. After completing their work with Sonam and Raj, we will return to the other three accused, we will return to the police and demands of his police deeds and again do.”
‘Police is looking for third phone’
According to the report by news agency ANI, SP Vivek Sim said, “We have not recovered the phones. Sonam will tell something in 2 days- Raja’s mother
Uma Raghuvanshi, the mother of King Raghuvanshi, said, “Sonam will tell something in two days because she is misleading a lot. She should tell the whole truth. As long as she will not tell why she killed the king, he should keep her in custody.”
