The wife and the whole family of jawan Ashok Kumar are waiting for him to return.

The Rajasthan jawan is missing from Akhnoor sector of Jammu and Kashmir since June 2. Lance Naik Ashok Kumar (27), a resident of Mohammadpur village in Kotputli-Bahrod district, spoke to the family on a video call for the last time on 31 May. His deployment of 4 Rajput units of Rajput Regiment

His elder brother Omprakash (30) has reported Ashoka’s disappearance at Pragwal police station (Akhnoor) in Jammu and Kashmir. Om Prakash is also in the army. He is posted in 2 Rajput units as Lance Nayak.

Jawan’s father Ramkumar Rawat (65) is a farmer. He told- Ashok came to the village for a 2-month holiday in April. However, after the Pahalgam attack, Ashok was canceled and called back.

He returned to duty on May 1. After this, his leave was fixed again from June 9. The whole family was eagerly waiting for him to return.

Father’s call from unit on the night of June 2 Father Ramkumar told- On June 2, at 2 pm, the Subedar of the unit called him. Asked ‘Lance Nayak Ashok reached home’? On this, we reported not to come. On this, the Subedar said that ‘if Ashok reaches home then immediate information should be given’.

Brother got information on the evening of June 2 Bhai Omprakash said- On the evening of June 2, it was reported from the unit officials that Ashok had gone missing between 11:30 and 12:30 in the afternoon. After this, he called him, but his phone is coming off.

All relatives were also checked here, but Ashok did not reach there. On June 3, a report of his disappearance has been lodged at the Pragwal police station on 3 June.

The family is upset in the house of the young Ashok. Father Ramkumar (pink kurta) is waiting for his son to return home.

Both brothers were admitted in a gap of 6 months Omprakash told that I was admitted to the army in 2015. 6 months later, in 2016, my brother Ashok was also admitted to the army.

Sheela (24), wife of Lance Naik Ashok, said- On the night of May 31, he had a talk to the entire family on a video call. He had asked to reach home by June 10.

On June 2, the phone was coming off. There is no contact with them. There is no satisfactory response from the unit.

Ashok’s aunt’s son Manoj Kumar said- Ashok has two and a half year old daughter Sonam and 6-month-old son.
