Rajasthan Royals can end the agreement with its captain Sanju Samson.
Highlights
- Rajasthan Royals preparing to trade 6 players.
- The agreement can also be terminated by his captain Sanju Samson.
- CSK and KKR need wicketkeeper batter.
Rajasthan Royals have not made it clear which players they will trade. Sanju Samson may be the first of the players for whom the demand for trade-off will be the highest. It is not yet known whether Sanju Samson and Rajasthan team decide to separate from mutual consent or not. The team has the second wicketkeeper batter as Dhruv Jurlel, which is impressive as Samson.
Chennai Super Kings Chief Executive Officer Kashi Vishwanathan did not get any response even after calling several times and sources in Rajasthan Royals also did not say anything about the trade-off conversation with a particular player. The trading window for IPL teams has started from June 4, a day after the end of the final of 2025. This will continue till one week before the auction date of 2026 players. After the players’ auction is over, the window will open again and will close just one month before the start of the next session.
A source close to Rajasthan Royals said, ‘Many franchisees have contacted many times for our six players. Similarly, we have contacted other franchise teams for many options. The source said, ‘The most important thing in this is that every team is ready for anything to strengthen its team. I do not think Rajasthan Royals will be different from this. There are many owners who contact each other for trade-off on regular basis.
Sanju Samson has been an important part of the Rajasthan team for the last several years, but after the emergence of Ryan Parag as captain, it will have to be seen whether he is able to remain in the team or not. When Samson was injured in the last session, Parag took command of the team. The team has also made Guwahati its second home ground. It is also a domestic ground of pollen in domestic cricket.
