‘Jeevan-Chakra’ (Life Cycle) has been destroyed in four districts of Rajasthan. 26.40 lakh trees have been cut. In the next five years, 38.54 lakh trees will be cut. This has eliminated a large number of butterfly, birds and other insects. It has a direct impact on trees and plants. Fifth note of musical scale
,
The only reason for these five wastage is- solar plant. This has increased the temperature by 5 degrees. The production of dates-anar has decreased by 75%.

Why millions of trees are being cut Large -scale trees have been cut for solar plants in Bikaner, Phalodi, Jaisalmer and Barmer districts. Most of them were Khejdi trees. Local people are also protesting this.
Dr. Anil Changani, Head of the Department of Environment at Maharaja Ganga Singh University, Bikaner, says- 26,452 MW power is being produced from solar across the state.
Plants are set up on about 1.32 lakh acres of land. A solar plate is placed on 4 to 5 acres of land for a megawatt power generation. Rajasthan has 15 to 20 trees per acre and 25 to 30 bushes from ten feet long. In such a situation, about 26 lakh trees and 40 lakh shrubs have been cut for the solar plant.
According to the renewable energy policy of the state, by 2030, the target of generating 65 thousand MW from solar is the target of production i.e. 38,548 MW capacity plant. For this, 92 lakh acres of land will be required. In such a situation, 38.54 lakh trees will be cut in five years.
All three satellite images are from Nursar in Bikaner. In the first picture, trees planted in the area are seen. The second picture is when trees were cut for solar plant. The third picture is after cutting the tree.
Where, how much big plant
- Phalodi: The largest Bhadla solar plant in 13 thousand 800 acres which is 2245 MW.
- Jaisalmer: 1300 MW Renew Solar Project on 3 thousand 500 acres, Fatehgarh Solar Plant of 296 MW of NTPC, 250 MW of Adani in Bhimsar.
- Bikaner : 25 MW of Hinduja Renewal in Gajner, 550 MW in Kolayat, Nokha, Nokha Dahiya, 500 MW at different places in Nokha Tehsil and 200 M
Land sold for plant, now leaving villages in search of employment In Nursar village of Bikaner, villagers sold 90 percent of the land to the company for solar plant. The village has solar plants on one side of the main road every 500 meters from every 500 meters. There is not even a tree there, on the other side there are trees and shrubs.
- Ganpat of the village said that he sold 80 bighas of land to the plant. The money that came after selling the land was divided into the family. In five years, that money was over. Now unemployed. Fodder for animals also has to be given money. Most of the family members have left the village due to lack of work.
- Kisan Jugaram said that there are 200 to 250 houses in the village. This is the condition of everyone. Most are unemployed. The solar plant is on duty of 15-20 people. There is Rs 400 on duty for 12 hours. The rest of the people do not even have that work.
4 million liters of water spent every week for salar plant In the four districts, four crore liters of water is spent a week to keep the solar plant cool and clean. So much water can quench the thirst of three lakh people. The plants are exploiting from natural water sources. In such a situation, water exploitation of the area is also increasing. Through satellite image, between 2014 and 2022, a large number of pulse has been exploited by pulse wells. At the same time, due to the solar plant, the temperature in this area has also increased by five degrees.
This canal is for farming towards Khajuwala. The plants here are using this water.
Fruit-seeds are not being made in trees and plants Agronomist and Horticulture Santosh Behra says- Dechu belt from Phalodi has many forms of pomegranate and date. Bird-pests, insects have been lost due to cutting millions of trees for solar hubs here. Now farmers have to do artificial pollution. In Artificial Polynation, not by butterfly or birds, but man leads pollen from one flower to another.
Effect: Production of dates and inferior decreased The production of pomegranate is being affected due to affecting the process of pollination or pollination. Earlier, where there was a quintal of a quintal date produce from 1 plant, now it was reduced to 20 to 25 kg. This problem has increased more in the last three years. The crops of moong, moth, millet etc. are the same.
Land around the solar plant is getting barren Santosh Behra said that due to lack of pollination, there is no breeding in plants. Even if the seedling is planted, sprouts are not coming out. Due to rising temperature, this time the farmers sown two to three times. In such a situation, crops and trees are decreasing gradually in the surrounding land. The land is becoming barren.
Strike for 1 year protest against cutting khejdi Khejdi is the state tree of Rajasthan. It is also called Kalpavriksha of the desert. This plays an important role in keeping the soil stable, preventing sand erosion and ecosystem of the desert.
Khejdi leaves and dried fruits are an important fodder source for animals. The Sangri used on it is used as vegetables and also has medicinal significance. Bees make hives on the khejdi. The roots have residences of repointile and other organisms.
After cutting the khejdi in the solar plant in Nokha Dahiya of Bikaner, there has been a sit -in under the banner of environmental lover Bhomaram Bhadu Environmental Sangharsh Samiti Khejdala since 18 July 2024. Despite this, in May this year, more than 140 Khejdi trees were cut in Nokha Dahiya, Dohi of Jaimalsar etc.
It is important to understand land use pattern: Environmentalist Environmentalist Professor Anil Changani said- Solar energy is needed, but before that it has to be seen that the place where solar plant is being set up, what is the present land use pattern of the present land use? What is the social economic value of the land? How much farming is being done there? How many of them are being cultivated with tubewells?
Trees cutting for big projects Sharad Acharya of Bikaner, the owner of the solar company, says that there are two types of projects in western Rajasthan. Projects under Kusum scheme seem to be from the state. There are other central projects, which directly send electricity from the Central Grid to the center. Central has large projects. Trees are being cut for this.
