Rajesh, who has been serving in Maharashtra for the last 40 years, was given a posting in a place where no one wanted to go. Rajesh also did a better job in such backward districts and became Nazir. Dainik Bhaskar met family and friends in Sawai Madhopur and talked to Rajesh’s journey so far and tried to know other aspects of his personality.

Rajesh Meena’s sister-in-law Rachna Meena says- Jijaji (Rajesh Meena) is as serious as the officer, the more funny person. Brother-in-law’s parents often say that when he was in the seventh-eighth grade, he started writing an IAS with Rajesh Kumar in his notebook.
From a very young age, he had decided that he had to go to the administrative service. His parents say that in 1988, at the age of just 21, he passed his dream in reality by passing the UPSC examination in the first attempt. He was one of the selected youth who became an IAS at such a young age at that time.
He is very fond of him with his things. The bag of aluminum in the third-fourth grade during school took to school, he is still with him. He gave it to his sister -in -law a few years ago.

Posting in place where no one wanted appointment After becoming an IAS, he received the Maharashtra cadre. For the past 40 years, he has been working in different positions in different districts of Maharashtra. The family says that they have also found such districts and posts during their tenure, where no one wanted to go. The officers used to see him as a punishment. Rajesh also made such important changes and experiments in those positions that the ministers of that department wanted to call him as his PA.
Among their most important works, Maharashtra OBC reservation is to be solved, innovation in child and women’s departments, making self -reliant women of rural areas of Maharashtra, water management in drought -prone areas and motivating farmers to use innovation in agriculture, new crops, equipment, equipment and crops.

Rajesh Meena is very fond of singing. He sings very well. Mohammad Rafi, Kishore and Hemant Kumar are his favorite singers. His favorite song is near the heart. If you watch a good film, then they also advise the family to watch that film.
His mother was in bed for about 9 years due to illness. During this, he served his mother a lot. Whenever Sawai came to Madhopur in the morning – Sham’s tea was drank with his mother. He did not share his troubles to the people of the house, but always share happiness.

Has been a favorite officer of CM Rachna says that any party has been in the government in Maharashtra, he was always a favorite officer of CM. He had good relations with almost all the Chief Ministers including Devendra Phannavis, Ajit Panwar, Sharad Panwar. Recalling the composition, she says that he was the Collector of Jalgaon at the time of Vilasrao Deshmukh. During a meeting, some locals showed him black flags. Even during the preparation to become an IAS, the notes they made, they have kept handling even today.

After retirement, Sawai wants to develop skills among youth in Madhopur Jaskaur says that when he came to Sawai Madhopur about one and a half months ago, the retirement plan was also discussed. He told his mother -in -law that now he would like to stay here and train farmers, youth to make employment from their own land through skill development. His mother -in -law had also prepared a room for him at the Shabri form house here. Now after getting new responsibility, this plan after retirement has now moved forward for a few years.

MA did MA from Rajasthan University Rajesh’s ancestral village is Uniyara, but he always stayed in Indra Colony in Sawai Madhopur. He studied here. He did his early studies from Government Higher Secondary School, Alanpur. After this, he did his graduation from Government College Sawai Madhopur. Post graduation is done in history from Rajasthan University. He used to live a room in Jaipur. The room partner was told that I do not know how to cook, so I will not be able to help you. Then his room partner asked him to focus only on studies.
Rajesh was married to Archana Meena in 1988. Both have two children Aadhaar and Ishika. Both of his children are married. Aadhaar has a daughter Anaya. Archana has currently gone to Mumbai for Rajesh’s joining.

Bhaskar: Many congratulations on Maharashtra becoming CS. Got such important responsibility two months before retirement, what will be the vision? Rajesh Meena- First of all, I am grateful to Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, which he has entrusted this responsibility to me. Maharashtra is already a leading and progressive state. We are doing excellent work in all the sectors. The vision of the Chief Minister and the developed Maharashtra of the entire cabinet, we will work with the help of new innovation and techniques by taking all the secretaries of all the sectors so that people’s lives are further accessible and we can provide better services to them. I will try to give good governance in Maharashtra by bringing transparency in the schemes.
Bhaskar: Which sectors are considering paying more attention to? Rajesh Meena- As the Chief Secretary, we will pay attention to all the sectors. All my department secretaries and officers are doing a very good job in their respective departments. By standing one of these teams, we will try to fulfill the dream of creating a separate developed state from each other’s experience.
Bhaskar: As a Rajasthani, what kind of passion remains in your heart for your birthplace? Rajesh Meena- My heart always beats for Rajasthan. My cadre is from Maharashtra, so Karmabhoomi was Maharashtra. Recently, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal spoke to IAS officials providing administrative services in other states living in Rajasthan. I was also discussed. I shared a lot of things with him. We are also working together with the officials of Rajasthan.
Bhaskar: Apart from an administrative officer, what else are you interested in? Rajesh Meena- My whole childhood was spent in Sawai Madhopur. I love everything there. I have reached here with the support and blessings of my gurus and colleagues. Sawai Madhopur is naturally very beautiful anyway. I am still very interested in playing cricket, music and agriculture sector. After retirement, there will be an attempt to teach innovation to farmers and benefit the farmers of Sawai Madhopur from their service experience so far.
Bhaskar: Which experiments and innovations were discussed while holding different positions in Maharashtra? Rajesh Meena- I have always tried to do something different and new during the unique service. First of all, when I got the responsibility in the water supply sector, then the Prime Minister kept a challenge of Open Defection Free. Then in Maharashtra, my leadership was declared an open Defection free. We all innovated in the Department of Sanitation and we were always a pioneer in this field. Similarly, when I was the Additional Chief Secretary in Rural Development, at that time there were around 8 lakh savings self -help groups, for whose products we linked with big online companies like Amazon and Flipkart. Today all these groups have become a very large group and all are self -dependent. While living in the revenue department, we made the online revenue department of Maharashtra registration and land services completely digitized with the help of Artificial Intelligence Technology. There were some other such innovation and innovation, which gave a lot of relief to the people.
Bhaskar: Is it true that you started writing IAS with name in the seventh-eighth class? Rajesh Meena- Yes, this is true. My father was from the field of education and retired from the post of principal. At that time it was decided to go to the administrative service. It was a big thing to become an IIS then. I believe that if you have taken any resolve with a sincere heart, then it is definitely fulfilled. Then I also took this pledge for myself and I am lucky that it came true in my first attempt.
