Rajya Sabha Members List 2025; Ujjwal nikam meenakshi jain | Harsh Vardhan Shringla Sadanandan | The President nominated 4 members for the Rajya Sabha: Meenakshi Jain, Harshvardhan Shringla and Sadanandan Mind including famous lawyer Ujjwal Nikam

President Murmu has nominated 4 members for the Rajya Sabha. These include former government lawyer and BJP candidate in Lok Sabha elections Ujjwal Nikam. Nikam, Ajmal Kasab, including many high-profile criminal cases, were public prosecutors.

Apart from these, C. Sadanandan Mastay, senior social worker and educationist from Kerala, Harshvardhan Shringla and historian and educationist Meenakshi Jain will also visit Rajya Sabha. These appointments have been made for those seats that were vacant by retirement of earlier nominated members.

Under Article 80 (3) of the Constitution of India, the President has the right to nominate 12 members in the Rajya Sabha. These members are selected for special contribution in areas like art, literature, science, social service. The total member number of Rajya Sabha is 250, including 238 elected and 12 enrolled members.
