A six-year-old girl was raped and strangled to death in a village under Mansoorpur police station in Muzaffarnagar district of Uttar Pradesh. The victim’s neighbor carried out this incident. Based on the complaint of the victim’s family, the police have registered a case against the accused under relevant sections of the Indian Justice Code and POCSO Act and arrested the accused.
Circle Officer (CO) Ramashish Yadav said that the accused was arrested after the encounter on Friday morning. The family of the victim girl has alleged in their complaint that the accused Manveer (40) called their daughter to his room on the pretext of giving her toffee. After this he made her a victim of his lust. During the incident, when the victim started screaming due to pain, he strangled her.
After the complaint of the family members of the victim girl, the police registered a case against the accused Manveer. After this, a police operation was launched to search for him. During this time the police came to know about the whereabouts of the accused. When the police team reached there, they started firing on them. In retaliatory firing, the police shot the accused in the leg. After this he was arrested.

The accused was identified as Shiv Kumar (50). The accused was a tenant at the victim’s house. Before the incident, the victim was playing in her house. At that very moment the accused came there and made the girl a victim of his lust. After this the accused absconded. The victim’s family took her to Nai Mandi police station. On the basis of the complaint, the police also arrested the family members of the accused.
