The Modi government at the Center is preparing to introduce the Waqf Amendment Bill in the Lok Sabha tomorrow. Earlier, political rhetoric has intensified. SP President and Kannauj MP Akhilesh Yadav has attacked BJP. At the same time, NDA’s associate JDU has also clearly stated that it will take a stand in Parliament on the Waqf Amendment Bill.
SP President Akhilesh Yadav said, we are against this bill. Waqf is against the bill, because BJP wants its control everywhere. This government is intervening everywhere and wants control everywhere.
SP said- if there is fear in Muslim, it is justified
SP Rajya Sabha MP and party general secretary Ram Gopal Yadav said, there was a plan to spoil communal harmony in the country. Their purpose is how to spoil the harmony of the country. People are being murdered. People are being killed. People are being killed in police protection. If there is fear among Muslims then it is justified.
JDU gave a big statement on the Waqf Bill. JDU said that Nitish Kumar has done a lot of work for Muslims. We will clear our stand in Parliament. Union Minister Rajiv Ranjan Lalan Singh said, JDU, Nitish does not need the certificate of the opposition. The opposition should look into itself. What the Congress did for Muslims, they told them. Nitish ji has worked for Muslims. Nitish ji did so much work for Muslims, as no government did.
He further said, Nitish ji gave justice to the riot -affected families. The Congress, secularism for the opposition is only the politics of the vote bank. Wait for the Lok Sabha. The party’s stand will be cleared there.
At the same time, JDU MLC Ghulam Gaus said, the Waqf Amendment Bill should be withdrawn immediately. This bill is against Muslims. Democracy does not work in democracy due to obstinate attitude. JDU has not yet supported this bill. Nitish Kumar does not compromise on secularism. Our point has reached them. Let us tell you that Ghulam Gaus Kha came to meet RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav on Eid on Monday.
BJP MP Damodar Aggarwal said, the country is waiting for this bill. Some people are spreading conflict on this bill. This bill will be good for Muslims. This is being opposed due to political reasons. Congress should name its name Muslim League.
Syed Nasruddin Chishti, Chairman of All India Sufi Sajjadanshin Council and successor of the spiritual head of Ajmer Dargah, said on the Waqf (Amendment) Bill, people are being confused in the name of this bill which is not correct. Being disagree is a different matter. We believe that whatever bill comes, it should be in the interest of all religious wealth of Waqf and this is also the intention of the government. I will urge those who are doing the work of misleading that it is not time to mislead. All together get a good bill passed. This is the need of the hour.
Congress leader Pramod Tiwari said, the government should openly discuss the Waqf Bill. The suggestions made by the Congress in JPC would have been fine if the government had agreed. I want to tell the government that such a bill should not be passed with the House in haste and in a hurry.
