The late industrialist Ratan Tata had created two will before preparing his final will. The first among them was prepared on 18 April 1996, while the second was made on 10 November 2009. But after this, on 23 February 2022, he canceled them while creating his last will. Ratan Tata also included Mehli Mistry, Daryas Khambata, Shirin Jejibhoy and Deenna Jejibhoy executives for their final will. Only one mobile phone at the last moment
Ratan Tata had assets and property worth hundreds of crores of rupees, but on 9 October 2024, he had only one mobile phone, which belonged to Nokia. Share earnings should be used in these works
If we look at the will, Ratan Tata wanted his shares of Tata Sons Private Limited and the preference shares of Tata Sons Private Limited, always kept in the trust for public charitable objectives and the income from him should be put in these works. These include donations in schools or colleges, donations to old age homes or orphanages for education of students of poor families or orphanages. Apart from this, the needy should be used for financial help of animal hospitals and organizations taking care of stray dogs in addition to treatment.
Big things of will
- 3 lakh rupees should be given to them from 3 domestic servants, as well as 15 lakh rupees from the property.
- Distribute the amount of Rs 2 lakh to the drivers and who have been in 7 years of service till the date of death.
- None of the remaining amount of the loan given to Shantanu Naidu should be recovered.
- If there is any living pet at the time of death, then set 12 lakh rupees separately. 30000 rupees per quarter should be kept for the lifetime of each pet.
- Bhai Jimmy Naval Tata, sisters Shirin Jejibhoy and Dina Jibhoy should be given jewelery and silver items.
- A quarter of the bungalow in Juhu should be given to brother Jimmy Naval Tata. The bungalow at Varsoli in Alibag should be given to his close friend Mehli Mistry. When Mistry dies, it goes to the price.
- Painting-arts should be evaluated and sold. NGO or agency should be given clothes for distribution among the poor.
Friend will get Ratan Tata’s guns
According to Ratan Tata’s bill, he had three weapons, whose license was taken from the Mumbai Police. These include a 25 bore pistol cott, 12 bore DBBL Gun Army and a 22 Postol High Standard Spare Bair. In the will of Tata, all three weapons have been given to his friend Mehli Mistry and if they do not accept the will for any reason, the exhikers will have to sell weapons at the best possible price according to the law and donate that amount.
Ratan Tata’s last wish and warning
In the final will prepared by Ratan Tata, he has also made his last wish and has also warned those who do not accept the will. It reads that, ‘It is my wish that after my death, my mortal remains should be cremated and my ash should flow into the sea around Mumbai, which I love very much.’ Apart from this, the final paragraph of this will directed that if anyone will challenge this final will in any way, he will have to give up all rights or benefits under my will and he will not get any inheritance.
