Ravi Pradosh Vrat 2025: Pradosh is kept on the Trayodashi date of every month. The Pradosh fast which falls on Sunday is called Ravi Pradosh Vrat. June 8 is Ravi Pradosh of Jyeshtha month. On this day, Suryadev is also worshiped with Lord Shiva. Pradosh Vrat is worshiped in the evening before and after sunset.

According to the Hindu calendar, Ravi Pradosh fast is kept on the Trayodashi date of Shukla Paksha of Jyeshtha month. Its date will start on 8 June i.e. this morning at 7.17 am and the conclusion will take place on 9 June at 9.35 am.

Ravi Pradosh Vrat Pujan Vidhi
On the day of Pradosh fast, wash the bath and wear clean colored clothes. Light a lamp of ghee in front of Lord Shiva and chant Om Namah: Shivaay Mantra 108 times. In the evening, during Pradosh period, get Lord Shiva with Panchamrit (milk curd ghee honey and sugar), then offer it with pure water and worship Roli Molly Rice in Dhoop lamp. Offer white rice pudding to Lord Shiva. Sit on the posture and recite Shivashtak and pray to Lord Shiva to eliminate all obstacles and faults.
Ravi Pradosh Vrat remedy (Ravi Pradosh Vrat Upay)
In the Ascendant house of the horoscope of children, the having sinful planets and going into the low zodiac sign of health hinders health. Health factor is not good due to sun afflictions. On the day of Pradosh fast, burn the all -round lamp of desi ghee near the Shivling in the evening and recite Shiva Chalisa thrice. By doing this, the health problems of children will end. In the end of the health problem of children, donate medicines and clothes to sick children.
Promotion of Pradosh Vrat
After keeping this fast up to eleven or 26 Trayodasis, the fast should be done. Fasting should be done on Trayodashi date only. Shri Ganesh is worshiped a day before the Udayapan. Jagran is done while doing kirtan in the previous night. In the morning, by getting up early in the morning, the pavilion is prepared by decorating with clothes and rangoli. Havan is performed by chanting a garland of ‘Om Uma with Shivaay Namah’ i.e. 108 times.
Kheer is used for sacrifice in Havan. After the Havan is over, the aarti of Lord Bholenath is performed and peace is recited. In the end, two Brahmins are served food and according to their ability, blessings are obtained by giving donations Dakshina.
