New Delhi. RCB star cricketer Jeetesh Sharma is going to change his team in domestic cricket. Wicketkeeper-better Jeetesh has been playing for Vidarbha since 2015 in domestic cricket. Now he has decided to leave Vidarbha. Jeetesh Sharma is going to be seen leaving Vidarbha this year and playing for Baroda.

Jeetesh Sharma, 31, has played 9 T20 matches for India. He is considered to be the best player of the white ball format, but when it comes to red ball matches, he is left behind. Jitesh Sharma did not play a single Ranji Trophy match in 2024-25. The reason for this is that Vidarbha captain Akshay Wadkar is the wicketkeeper. When the captain is a wicketkeeper, it becomes difficult for the second wicketkeeper to make a place in the playing XI. For this reason, he had to sit on the bench in Ranji matches. Yes, they are definitely included in Vidarbha’s white ball teams (List A and T20).

According to ‘Cricinfo’, Jeetesh Sharma’s plan to go to Baroda was going on for some time. His good relations with Baroda captain Krunal Pandya made this transfer possible. Both of them played for Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL this year. With the change in the team, Jitesh is expected to come back on track of his first class career. Jeetesh has played only 18 first class matches despite making his debut for Vidarbha in 2015-16. His average is 24.48 and four half -centuries. His last red ball match took place about 18 months ago.

Jitesh Sharma’s firstclass record may not be very good but he is considered a great finisher in T20 format. He played many best innings for Punjab Kings in 2023. After this, RCB included him in his team. Jeetesh Sharma played a big role in winning the title of RCB, playing the role of Finisher in IPL 2025. He also captained RCB when Rajat Patidar was injured.

Jitesh’s RCB’s fellow Swapnil Singh is also going to change the team. Spin bowling all -rounder Swapnil will join Tripura before the new season. Swapnil last played domestic cricket for Uttarakhand. He took 18 wickets in 5 Ranji matches in 2024-25.
