After the support of Janata Dal United (JDU) regarding the Waqf Bill, there has been an increase in dissatisfaction among the party’s Muslim leaders. On this issue, senior JDU leader Dr. Mohammad Qasim Ansari resigned from the party. Shortly after this incident, JDU leader Mo. Nawaz Malik also left the party. Nawaz Malik is the state secretary of the JDU Minority Front. The two leaders say that they are angry with the party supporting the Waqf Bill. Please tell that Dr. Ansari has been a senior leader of JDU and has also been a party candidate from Dhaka Assembly seat in East Champaran district of Bihar.
Resignation of Nitish Kumar, Qasim Ansari said that millions of Indian Muslims like us had unwavering confidence that you are purely the flag bearer of secular ideology, but now this confidence is broken. The Waqf bill has been deeply shocked to millions of dedicated Indian Muslims and activists like us from the JDU stand.
Qasim Ansari said that we are quite heartbroken by the attitude and style with which Lalan Singh gave his statement and style in the Lok Sabha. The Waqf Bill is against us Indian Muslims. We cannot accept it under any circumstances. This bill violates many fundamental rights of the Constitution. Indian Muslims are being burnt through this bill. Also, this bill is also anti -Pasmanda. Whose realization is neither you (Nitish Kumar) nor your party. I am regretting that I have given many years of my life to the party. In a letter to Nitish Kumar, Qasim said that I am voluntarily resigning from the primary member of the party and other responsibilities.
JDU supports Waqf Bill
Please tell that the Waqf Amendment Bill has been supported by JDU. JDU MP and Panchayati Raj Minister Rajiv Ranjan Singh alias Lalan Singh in the Central Government had said that efforts are being made to make it that this bill is anti -Muslim. This bill is not anti -Muslim from anywhere. What is a Muslim organization? Waqf is not a religious institution, a trust that works for the welfare of Muslims. The trust should have the right to do justice to people of all classes, which is not happening. It is a regulatory and an administrative body which works for the rights of Muslims.
