Myanmar-Bangkok Earthquake: On Friday (March 28) in Myanmar and Bangkok, terrible tremors were felt with a magnitude of 7.7 and 7.2. These shocks were so strong that due to this many skyscrapers became frozen in a few minutes. At the same time, 25 people lost their lives in Myanmar in this terrible disaster.
According to the BBC report, Myanmar’s military regime had earlier said that the episode of the earthquake was near Mandale, the second largest city of Myanmar and people in Myanmar need to be cautious after seeing the danger of the earthquake for the next six hours. At the same time, the State of Emergency has been announced in the Bago and Nepido areas located in the north-eastern part of the Saging, Mandale, Megway, Shaan Rajya of Myanmar.
Eyewitnesses told how the destruction occurred?
When the situation became normal after the earthquake was calm, the scene of destruction started to appear clear. Disaster eyewitnesses said that due to this terrible earthquake, many buildings including hotels, bridges, nursery schools, apartments in the southern region of Myanmar, Saging and Shaan State collapsed. Apart from this, some other parts including the bridge of Yangon-Mandale highway have also been damaged. Due to which many vehicles are stranded on the road.
Disaster eyewitnesses in Myanmar’s largest city Yagun told the BBC that the earthquake was quite terrible and sharp, which remained intact for about 4 minutes. At the same time, Sirinya Nakuta told the Reuters, “I was in my apartment with my children, when earthquake tremors felt and continued. After this I heard the sound of falling heavy things like stone, after which I got scared and escaped from the apartment with my children.”
At the same time, Deputy Police Chief Vorpat Sukhthai of Bang Suu district told AFP, “When I reached the place of the accident, I heard a lot of people screaming for help. It was a very frightening scene.”
People of Bangkok told the incident
Jujana Wari-Covax, who hails from Bangkok, told the BBC during the earthquake. He said, “I was waiting for myself in the restaurant and suddenly the earth started trembling. When I looked around, everyone was running away. So I immediately ran outside the restaurant.”
At the same time, Deborah Punamachet said, “I was sitting on my reclineer and suddenly my reconer chair overturned. After that when I felt an earthquake. I immediately ran out.”
