Restlessness of fundamentalists, activism of Khaled’s party and US-China Angle… How long will you save the chair? – BIG Question How long will yunus be removed to save his Chair Fundamentalists Restlessness

Political situation in Bangladesh is becoming increasingly unstable. On the one hand, questions have been raised on democracy due to the permission of radical organizations like Jamaat-e-Islami to contest elections, on the other hand, Khaleda Jia’s party BNP has taken command of the movement regarding the elections. Mohammad Yunus, the head of the interim government, is not only surrounded by domestic political pressures, but stressful relationships with the army are also increasing their problems. In such a situation, the question arises whether their closeness with the US and China will really be able to keep them in power, or is Bangladesh moving towards another turmoil?

Radical parties ready to contest elections

In fact, the recent decision of the Supreme Court has given Jamaat-e-Islami a chance to enter electoral politics in Bangladesh. This is the same organization which was banned by former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s government by alleging anti -national activities. On the other hand, Khaleda Jia’s party BNP has become aggressive from road to Parliament due to delay in elections.

Khaled Jia’s party landed in protest

The party’s acting president Tariq Rahman, who is currently in London, while addressing a huge recent rally in digital medium said, ‘Elections should be held by December. Now no excuse will be done. He accused the current caretaker government of conspiring to derail democracy.

Army is also upset with Younus

The demands of BNP got the force further when Army Chief General Walker Walker Walker-Uz-Jaman also met Younus and reiterated the demand for elections by December. It is an indication that the army is also uncomfortable with the attitude of the caretaker government and is in favor of early transfer of power.

‘America puppet’

Yunus is growing closely with America and China to preserve his chair. Recently, Hasina made a scathing attack on Younus, saying, ‘Neither I nor my father sold America to Bangladesh, but Younus now wants to stick to power as a puppet in the hands of America.’

Investments are demanding from China

Surrounded by political pressures, Younis has now become active on the economic front by shielding international relations. Recently he organized a big investment conference with China in which more than 150 Chinese business representatives participated. Yunus said that Bangladesh and China together can bring regional economic changes.

Earlier, he also visited China in March. It remains to be seen whether Mohammad Yunus is able to save his chair amidst the return of the fundamentalists, the pressure of the opposition, the army’s displeasure and international diplomacy or Bangladesh is moving towards another political crisis.
