Indian wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant injured and out of the field on the first day of Lord’s Test
The Indian team looked in trouble in the first innings on the second day of the third Test against England. The team’s 3 wickets fell on the score of 107 runs and he not only saved the wicket with KL Rahul but also scored the run. With his brilliant innings, Pant has completed 361 runs in this series, which is a new record. He surpassed his last best 350 runs in Australia in 2018 and also crossed MS Dhoni’s 349 runs in England in 2014. Pant also scored 349 runs in England in 2021.
Pant is batting in pain
This time he achieved this feat despite the pain. On the first day, Pant had hurt his finger while wicketkeeping and did not land after that. But when the time of batting came, he did not show any shortage. He played fast and smart shots from the beginning.
India lost three wickets in response to England’s 387 runs. Pant and KL Rahul handled the innings and formed a strong partnership. Both of them batted for about 10 overs after captain Shubman Gill dismissed in the 34th over and took out the game for the second day. India had scored 145 runs for 3 wickets and 242 runs behind England’s first innings score. Pant scored 19 runs while facing 33 balls while KL Rahul was playing 53 runs on 113 balls.
