New Delhi. Rishabh Pant scored a brilliant century on the second day of the first Test match against England. Pant recorded a big record during this period. He created a ruckus by hitting a century in the first hour of the second day of the Handingley Test match. Pant also became the Indian batsman to hit the most sixes in the history of the World Test Championship. He broke Rohit Sharma’s record during this period. Pant and Rohit had a similar 56-56 sixes in the WTC but now Pant has left Rohit behind. Pant, along with captain Shubman Gill, made a big partnership and brought the score to 400 in the first innings of Team India.
This is Pant’s third century in England, before which he also scored centuries in Oval and Birmingham. Dhoni scored 6 centuries in 90 Tests while Pant overtook Dhoni in 44 Tests. Earlier, 3 batsmen have hit a century three times in an innings from India outside Asia. In 1986, Gavaskar, Srikanth and Mohinder Amarnath scored centuries against Australia from India in Sydney.
Rishabh Pant also became the wicketkeeper who scored the most runs against SENA countries. During this time he left behind the record of his ideal Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Dhoni had a record of scoring 1731 runs against SENA countries, which Pant has now crossed.
