Haryana land deal case: Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi’s husband and businessman Robert Vadra has been called by the ED for questioning for the second consecutive day on Wednesday. This inquiry is related to Shikohpur land deal in Haryana. During this, Priyanka Gandhi also reached the ED’s office with him.
Earlier, Vadra posted a Facebook, in which he wrote, “The social service plans I had made during my birthday week have had to stop for some time. I had planned to feed the elders and give gifts to the children, which I will continue to do until the government stops me from doing good work or speaking about the injustice done to minorities.”
‘Finally victory will be true’
Robert Vadra further said, “Even if I talk about coming into politics, I am upset. But I will keep fulfilling the needs of the people. No one can stop me. I am ready for all kinds of pressure. I really believe and I am confident that finally the victory will be true.”
The inquiry was done for 6 hours
The ED had questioned Robert Vadra for about six hours on Tuesday (April 15). During this time his statement was recorded under the Money Laundering Act (PMLA). Vadra had said that whenever they raise the voice of minorities, they are targeted. He called it a political revenge action and said that the investigating agencies are being misused. He also said that he has been fully cooperating in the investigation earlier.
Vadra said, “When I speak in the interest of the people, an attempt is made to silence me. Just as Rahul Gandhi’s voice is suppressed in Parliament, so too. When I talk about people’s problems, I am pressed.”
When asked if he could also be arrested, he said, “I am ready for everything. On the allegations of money laundering, Vadra said,” These people have not been able to prove anything for the last 20 years. If the money laundering is done then show the evidence. All this is inspired by politics and the government is misusing the investigating agencies. “
Know what is the whole matter
This case is in the year 2008, when Haryana Chief Minister Bhupendra Singh Hooda was. At that time, the Haryana government had approved Robert Vadra’s company to make 2.70 acres of land a commercial colony (commercial colony) and a license was also given for this. It is alleged that instead of building the colony, Vadra’s company Skylite Hospitality Private Limited sold these land to a company named DLF Universal Limited for Rs 58 crore in the year 2012.
It is being said that Robert Vadra’s company had received this land at a very cheap price from the government, and then the company made a profit of crores by selling it at a high price. For this reason, this deal is now being investigated.
