Robert Vadra’s appearance in ED today, will be questioned in the money laundering case related to Sanjay Bhandari – Robert Vadra will appear ed today will be questioned in money laundering case related to sanjay bhandari ntc

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has issued a new summons to Robert Vadra, husband of Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi for questioning in the money laundering case related to British -based arms advisor Sanjay Bhandari. The investigating agency has called Vadra for questioning today. Official sources have given this information on Monday.

Sources said that they have been directed to appear before the investigating agency on Tuesday to record the statement in this case. Investigation in this case is being done under PMLA.

10 June was not involved in interrogation

Earlier, the investigating agency Vadra was called for questioning on June 10, but he did not attend the investigation. Vadra said that he had flu -like symptoms on June 9 and he has conducted his Kovid investigation as per the rule.

His lawyer then said that Vadra had no intention of avoiding summons and he is ready to appear before the ED before or after traveling abroad at the end of this month.

It is believed that the agency has called Vadra to record the statement under the PMLA and then file a charge sheet in the case.

Investigation continues in 3 cases of money laundering

In fact, the investigating agency questioned Vadra for three consecutive days in April in a separate money laundering case related to alleged irregularities in a 2008 land deal in Haryana. They are being investigated by ED in three cases of money laundering.

At the same time, soon after the raid by the Income Tax Department in Delhi, accused Sanjay Bhandari fled to London in 2016. A UK court rejected the application filed to appeal to the Supreme Court of the UK against the acquittal of Bhandari in the extradition case by the Government of India earlier this month, almost over the possibility of Bhandari to be brought to India.

ED filed summons in 2023

Explain that the ED had filed a charge sheet in this case in the year 2023, alleging that Bhandari had bought 12 in London, Brianston Square in London, and had provided money for renovation of the house at the behest of Robert Vadra.

However, Vadra has denied that he has any property directly or indirectly in London. Describing the allegations as a political conspiracy, he said that he is being harassed to fulfill political objectives.

The ED is also investigating Vadra in a separate money laundering case related to alleged financial irregularities in a land deal in Bikaner, Rajasthan.
